Named after Stoke City player and football legend Sir Stanley Matthews CBE, our sports centre is located on our campus on Leek Road. To enroll in a PhD with us, you usually need a bachelor`s and master`s degree. However, this is not always the case, and we will also consider relevant research or work experience. If the academic school recommends the offer of a study place, this will be ratified by the graduate school and you will then be contacted with the details of the offer and acceptance. Your application should include a list of your published work that forms the basis of your proposed PhD, as well as an explanation of how it contributes to knowledge and when your research was conducted.
